Bass Lake Christian Retirement Community
Originally, these were beautiful RV lots with full hook-ups (pure well water, 50 amp electrical service and sewer) available for lifetime leases. Currently under ownership by the new, not-for-profit, Corporation, members have elected to make the following changes.
Our statement of faith remains the same. Click here for the new Guidelines and Bylaws that have been written for BLCRC. As you will see, the community is planned for 55+ Christians, and residences need not now be RV's. A residence may be either (i) a one-bedroom Apartment structure or Park Home of no more than 900 sq. ft, (ii) a Park Model or Recreational Vehicle alone, or (iii) its combination with another structure totaling no more than 900 sq. ft. (all as defined in articles 2.07 through 2.10). Only one flush toilet is permitted in any combination on any Unit. Additional Recreational Vehicles belonging to the member may be stored on the Unit.
The Corporation levies assessments at $500 per year per lot ($250 for a 2nd lot) for water, sewage, garbage, taxes on land and mowing expenses. With the growth of the Bass Lake RV Ranch community. a small surplus has been used to purchase mowing equipment, and was used to assist in the construction of new water, sewage and road facilities.
There is an annual meeting of the Corporation on the first Saturday of November, in which member participation is encouraged and used in the conduct of the Corporation's business. Starting December 2009, a monthly open board meeting is planned. There are six Directors of the Corporation, two of which are rotated each 3 years and elected at the Annual Meeting held the first Saturday on November. The 2010 Directors and Officers of Bass Lake Ranch Members Corporation are: President, Tom Abrahamsen; Vice-President John Hidalgo; Secretary, Wanda Massey; Treasurer, Cathy Brands; Architectural Control Committee Chair, Brian Holdcroft; and Maintenance Committee Chair, Keith Shipman. Of special interest is the spirit of unity that exists in this community of believers in the conduct of business of the Corporation. As Psalms 133: 1 states:
How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! (Psalm 133:1, NIV)
